We may very well have found the bargain wine of summer for 2026 with this live wire Luberon white from noted southern Rhône producer Bonpas. We often forget about Luberon, as it's tucked into the extreme southeastern corner of the region (in fact it's so far south, many wine people think of it as being part of Provence). In the 2025 vintage, this blend of Grenache Blanc and Rolle (Vermentino) was given time on the lees to develop a bit of richness and sophistication, and the resulting wine offers aromas and flavors of green apple and peach, with a backbone, complexity and length on the palate that we rarely encounter in wines under $20.
