He never sacrifices acidity, aroma or precision for the easy impression that can be made with lots of new oak barrels. As a result, his stellar array of Meursault vineyards each easily display their own personalities, and- as implied by their typical and youthful shyness- are taut with the potential for extended cellaring. Germain's Charmes comes from a low-yielding section of older vines and displays a typical hint of what will become an explosively nutty, honeyed elixir...if you can be patient!
