Piemonte is a fiercely conservative and traditional region in which new ideas rarely take hold. However, Delinquent Wine Co. has managed to make a name for itself in quite a short time by offering wines that are direct, fresh and well-priced. Their Monferrato LOSNA blends Barbera, Freisa and Grignolino into an elixir that's both juicy and nicely structured. It has enough heft to accompany good barbecue...but put a slight chill on it, and you can serve it with everything from pasta with a little marinara to grilled salmon. Exceptional! Practicing organic.
