François Morissette is a man devoted to making wines that will captivate a worldwide audience, even though the canvas for his creations is Canada's Niagara Bench. His 2021 Racines du Ciel Cabernet Franc is a great introduction for the novice; it's a fantastic expression of the dark, brooding, almost inky side of Cabernet Franc, with an herb-tinged blackberry savor and an almost sanguine intensity.
