Truth be told, we're not huge fans of the mostly angular and tough wines that issue from this rugged Catalan appellation. However, Mas d'en Gil makes an extra effort to render their young wines approachable by holding them back for extra bottle aging until the firm decides they're drinking well. So this 2021- released in Spring, 2025- gives you a 60% Garnacha with all the licorice and mineral elements you'd expect...but they come in a balanced, approachable format. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cariñena round out the blend. Outstanding value here, too!
