Marqués de Cáceres' top wine- which they call "Gran Vino"- is composed of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano from their oldest and best vines. The stated goal of Marqués de Cáceres in producing this bottling is to express the natural power of the red wines of this region without compromising finesse and balance. In retrospect, this was one of Rioja's first wines to move toward the modern expression of fruitier and more tannic reds.
