The flagship of the Montevertine estate hails from a gorgeous, tiny parcel of 40 year old vines that faces southeast. In 2017, it's 90% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino...and the kind of wine that stands as a reminder of the vision of founder Sergio Manetti's decision to forge his own path- and forego the Chianti Classico DOCG- in making an incredible wine of place that manages to be more Chianti Classico than most of its contemporaries. Extraordinary!
