For our taste, there is simply no other Verdejo like Garciarévalo's Tresolmos. It's the product of pre-phylloxera old vines that occupy a unique site between the Adaja and Eresma Rivers which averages a full five degrees lower in temperature than surrounding vineyards; the sandy, well-drained soils that quickly release heat, allowing the vineyard to cool at night; and the careful cellar practices- including six months' aging on the lees- the yields a Verdejo of incomparable structure and complexity. Most Rueda Verdejo is simple, grapefruity and almost Sauvignon Blanc-like...but one taste of Garciarévalo's Tresolmos is an introduction to the nobility of this misunderstood grape. Organic.
