We always look to the hamlet of Saint-Aubin for outsized values in direct, cherry-scented Pinot Noir, and the venerable Larue family always delivers. It's just sunny and ripe enough to suggest the great red wines from over the hill in Volnay and Chassagne, but there's also a taut mineral quality and admirable restraint. It's hard to find better Pinot Noir for under $40 anywhere, so we recommend stocking up whenever we can offer this wine!
