This library selection from importer David Bowler gives us a rare glimpse at just how well serious, old-vine (in this case, 50-to-100 year-old vines!) Cabernet Franc from a top vintage ages. With this particular wine, the red-fruited vigor of youth and prominent tannins have resolved into a richly-textured and sumptuous beverage of harmony, with the fruit qualities beginning to exhibit leafy, woodsy, more complex notes. There's still a snap of acidic vigor and a hint of tannin here that hints at many years of enjoyment to come. Certified organic.
