We can't talk about this superlative winery and its Pinot Noir without mentioning that Summer Dreams is the personal winery of Jayson Woodbridge, the renowned winemaker of multiple Hundred Acre 100 point legends. That being said, what he's doing with his Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is much less showy and more true to grape and appellation than the Hundred Acre Cabernets. While very identifiable as Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Woodbridge avoids the overly thick, "hard candy" qualities that can sometimes be found in these wines, and it's as assured and poised to age nicely (although it'll likely all be consumed young) as any American Pinot Noir we've encountered.
