This hails from Matt Cline's extraordinary old vines plots along the Sacramento River, at the northeast corner of the San Francisco Bay. Co-fermentation with Petite Sirah, Alicante, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Black Malvasia prevent hard tannins from forming, and cool nights allow for adequate acidity to develop. A unique Zinfandel that allows the drinker to experience what residents of San Francisco may have been drinking at the turn of the 20th century.
