Vincent Ricard’s entry-level “basic” Touraine is a Sauvignon Blanc that can give a few Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé a run for their money. And since 2023 is a dream vintage in the Loire- with ripe, generous wines across the board- this merits case buys! Expect bracing acidity, gooseberry, passion fruit and a fine minerality...at a price even mass-produced New Zealand Sauvignon can't possibly match.
