The team of Julia and Alex Alvarez-Perez fermented 75% of this wine (from Wiemer's Serenity Vineyard) carbonically, then broadened it with 25% fruit from their own vineyard on Cayuga Lake. The result is appropriately juicy and lifted, with the leafy/pyrazene elements deftly underpinned by excellent structure and a palpable richness. Usonia is becoming our go-to for top class Cabernet Franc, and wine writers- such as Allison Slute of Cab Franc Chronicles- agree!
