Ferdinando Zanusso and his son Mario are among our favorite growers in Friuli. Their Schioppettino is, in many ways, the flagship bottling, as it issues from two steep, old-vine parcels (each feature 70 year-old vines!), and is vinified in the gentlest manner possible. There's an elegance, purity and cohesion to this wine that merits at least an attempt at bottle aging, but it's so appealing that we won't blame you if you can't resist enjoying it now! Organic.
